Alicia Silverstone is an American actress.

Born in San Francisco to British parents, Silverstone began modelling from the age of six, before becoming an actress, gaining early success for her role in The Crush. This led to her being cast in a number of videos for Aerosmith, in turn leading to success in the motion picture Clueless and playing Batgirl in the critically lambasted Batman and Robin.

Silverstone continued to appear in motion pictures into the 2000s, as well as providing the lead character 's voice in the animated series Braceface. However, she focused her attention more on the theatre, appearing in the world premiere of Time Stands Still amongst others.

Silverstone has played two musical roles, singing a number of Cole Porter songs as The Princess in Love's Labour's Lost and performing the solo number "The Tracks of My Tears" in the tele-movie Candles on Bay Street.
