Annette Andre is an Australian actress.

Biography

Born in Sydney, she began her career in Australia before making the move to Britain, her British debut film being This is My Street in 1964. Her most famous role, however, was that of Jeannie Hopkirk in Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), which she played for two years.

After this role, she subsequently made guest appearances in The Avengers and The Saint among others and made an appearance on the West End stage as The Business of Murder.

Andre made her final onscreen appearance in 1988 and became devoted to animal welfare causes.

Singing

Andre appeared in the stage musical Vanity Fair a well as playing Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
