Burn Gorman is an American born English actor.


Born in Hollywood, California, Gorman moved to London aged seven with his family and trained at Manchester Metropolitan University's School of Theatre. He made his first screen appearance on Coronation Street in 1998 and would go on to appear on a number of television series including Bleak House, Wuthering Heights and Torchwood.

Gorman also had a lengthy film career, with roles in such films as Layer Cake, Johnny English Reborn and The Dark Knight Rises. As well as acting, he also appearedon numerous occasions as a musician, and provided voices for video games Risen and Star Wars: The Old Republic.


Though his singing was mainly limited to his successful beat boxing career, Gorman appeared as Bill Sykes in the 2009 revival of Oliver! and played the pianoforte and sang "Rule Britannia" in an episode of TURN: Washington's Spies.
