Burt Kwouk was an English actor.


Born Herbert Kwouk in Manchester, England, he made his screen debut in 1957 and would appear several times in the James Bond series, as well as most famously playing the manservant Cato in The Pink Panther.

Kwouk also appeared in a number of television programmes, including It Ain't Half Hot Mum, The Harry Hill Show and Last of the Summer Wine. In 2011 he was awarded an OBE for his services to Drama.

Kwouk passed away in 2016.


Kwouk made his sole singing and musical appearance in the original London production of Mame, in which he played Ito.
