David Collings is an English actor.

Biography[]

Born in Brighton, East Sussex, Collings began as a theatre and television actor, making his screen debut in 1964. He appeared in such series as Z Cars and UFO but was best known as a performer in historical miniseries and filmed adaptations of plays, as well as making several appearances on Doctor Who.

Collings also appeared as Legolas in the radio adaptation of The Lord of the Rings, and memorably played the villainous Charn in Through the Dragon's Eye.

Collings has one musical credit to his name, playing the role of Bob Cratchit in Scrooge.
