Dominic Chianese is an American actor and singer.

Biography

Born in The Bronx, New York, Chianese began appearing in Off-Broadway productions and attended the HB Studio. In 1974 he had his first major screen appearance as Johnny Ola in The Godfather Part II and appeared in such films as All the President's Men, ...And Justice For All and Cradle Will Rock.

Chianese had his greatest success on television, with roles in Ryan's Hope, Boardwalk Empire and most memorably as "Uncle Junior" Soprano in The Sopranos, for which he received an Emmy nomination.

Singing

Before becoming a screen actor, Chianese appeared in a number of Broadway productions, including in the ensemble in Oliver!, as Maurice in Mata Hari (as well as its revival "Ballad for a Firing Squad"). Many years later he appeared as Henry Potter in a concert production of A Wonderful Life.

Chianese sang twice sang in The Sopranos, performing "Core n'Grato" (also known as "Ungrateful Heart") and "I Remember You." He also released two albums, a mixture of pop/rock and Italian standards, the first simply titled "Hits", the second "Ungrateful Heart."
