Emily Mortimer is an English actress.

BiographyEdit

Born in Finsbury Park, London, Mortimer studied at Oxford University and initially worked as a columnist and screenwriter before being spotted in one of her student production and cast as the lead in The Glass Virgin. In 1996 she made her feature film debut in The Ghost and the Darkness.

Mortimer soon began an illustrious film career with large supporting roles in Notting Hill, Elizabeth and The Kid, which raised her profile in America and led to a number of blockbuster film appearances, including the Pink Panther remake and its sequel, starring Steve Martin. She later became the co-creator of Doll & Em.

SingingEdit

Mortimer appeared in only one musical role, (though it involved singing a number of songs), that of Katherine in Kenneth Branagh's film production of Love's Labour's Lost.
