Samantha Bond is an English actress.

Biography[]

Born in London, England, Bond trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, appeared in the original production of Daisy Pulls It Off and made her television debut as Maria in Mansfield Park that same year. She played the role of Miss Moneypenny in the James Bond series from 1995 to 2002.

Bond frequently appeared on television, taking such roles as Mary McKenzie in The Ginger Tree, Auntie Angela in Outnumbered and Lady Rosamund Painswick in Downton Abbey.

Singing[]

As well as singing "There is a Lady Sweet and Kind" with several others in Mansfield Park, Bond played the role of Muriel in the original British production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
