Mike Myers is a Canadian actor and comedian.

Biography[]

Born in Scarborough, Ontario, he first began acting aged two in commercials and grew up to become a comedian, helping to found The Comedy Store Players in England. He soon became recognised for his appearances on Saturday Night Live, where he created the character of Wayne Campbell, later of the film Wayne's World.

Myers soon became successful in motion pictures following his appearances in the Austin Powers (which he co-penned) and Shrek series. He also appeared in such films as So I Married an Axe Murderer, The Love Guru and Inglorious Basterds.

Singing[]

Myers sang in several of his film and television roles, usually in a comic capacity and often writing his own materal. He provided a number of musical interludes for Saturday Night Live and the theme tune for Wayne's World.

Myers also performed as both Austin Powers and Dr. Evil in the Austin Powers series, which included a rendition of "Just the Two of Us" and the self-penned "Daddy Wasn't There." He also performed as the titular characters in both The Cat in the Hat and The Love Guru.
