George Costigan is an English actor.

Biography[]

Born in Portsmouth, Hampshire, Costigan made his screen debut on television in 1978 and rose to fame playing Bob in the comedy Rita, Sue and Bob Too. He would appear in a number of television productions, including The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Who and Happy Valley as well as films such as Calendar Girls and Shirley Valentine.

Costigan also appeared frequently onstage, playing Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman and Estragon in Waiting for Godot.
