James Franco is an American actor.

Biography[]

Born in Palo Alto, California, Franco first appeared onscreen in an advertisement for Pizza Hut, gaining recognition for the television series Freaks and Geeks, later as the lead in James Dean and Harry Osborn in the Spider-Man film trilogy.

Despite being successful in dramas including City By the Sea and Tristan & Isolde, as well as receiving awards for his part in Milk, Franco found his niche in comedies, making appearances in Knocked Up, Pineapple Express, and the controversial The Interview.

Singing[]

Franco sang briefly in several films and television shows, notably singing the duet "Hangin' With Da Dough Boys" in Spring Breakers and "Get Out of My Room" during his first appearance on Saturday Night Live.

Franco also collaborated with a number of artists on various singles, including "Turn It Up" with Kalup Linzy and "MotorCity" with Tim O'Keefe.
