John Simm is an English actor.

Biography[]

Born in Blackpool, England, Simm studied at the Drama Centre London whilst working as a guitarist. He made his television debut in 1992 and it was ob television that he would find his greatest successes, playing Sam Tyler in Life on Mars and The Master in Doctor Who amongst others.

Simm also appeared in a number of films, having early success in Human Traffic and 24 Hour Party People, and played the lead role in a sell-out production of Hamlet.

Singing[]

Simm performed twice onscreen, singing "Blue Monday" in 24 Hour Party People and mockingly singing along to "I Can't Decide" in Doctor Who.
