Johnny Silver was an American actor.

BiographyEdit

Born in Indiana, Silver performed on radio as a youth and whilst at college performed to entertain the troops in World War Two. It was around this time that he met Frank Loesser, who would later cast him in Guys and Dolls.

Later, Silver became a screen actor, appearing in a number of films by Mel Brooks and various television shows, with an appearance on The Bob Hope Chrysler Theatre earning him an Emmy nomination. He also became a voice coach to several well known actors including Ricardo Montalbán.

Silver passed away in 2003.
