Kenneth Cranham is a British actor.
Biography[]
Born in Dunfermline, Fife, Cranham trained at the National Youth Theatre and made his film debut as the bullying Noah Claypole in Oliver!.
He has been widely known as a prolific stage actor, working in productions of The Birthday Party and Gaslight and An Inspector Calls for which he received an Olivier Award nomination. He is also a widely known character actor in films and television, notably Hellraiser II, Layer Cake and Hot Fuzz, as well as a number of miniseries, such as Rome, in which he played Pompey the Great.
Singing[]
Despite a long, illustrious career, Cranham has only one singing credit to his name, in the miniseries Our Mutual Friend, where he sings the traditional piece "Begone Dull Care".
