Kenneth Mars was an American actor.
Biography[]
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Mars began acting in the theatre before his television debut in Car 54, Where Are You?. He soon went on to become known as a comedic actor; notably playing the Nazi Franz Liebkind in The Producers and the persistent Inspector Kemp in Young Frankenstein.
In his later career, Mars appeared in a large number of television programmes, including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Love, American Style, as well as frequently working as a voice actor, playing King Triton in The Little Mermaid series and Grandpa Longneck in The Land Before Time.
Mars passed away in 2011.

Mars sang in a number of films and stage productions, making his singing stage debut as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh in Anything Goes. He almost appeared in several films in which he sang, including It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Superman! and The Land Before Time XI: Invasion of the Tinysauruses (including the duet "If Only"). He also sang in two episodes of Malcolm in the Middle, in which he played recurring character Otto Mannkusser.
