Lee Pace is an American actor.


Born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, he gave several early performances at the Alley Theatre including as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet and the lead in Richard III before graduating from Juilliard.

He first gained recognition for his role as transsexual Calpernia Addams in 2003, which later led to success in ABC's Pushing Daisies as Ned the Pie Maker and key roles in blockbuster franchises The Hobbit (as King Thranduil) and as the alien villain Ronan the Accuser in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. He also received plaudits for his role as the composer Bellini in the play Golden Age.


Pace has sung on a several occasions, in his breakout role as Calpernia Addams in Soldier's Girl he sang kd Lang's "The Consequences of Falling", and in Miss Pettigrew Lives For a Day he duets on the soundtrack with Amy Adams, performing "If I Didn't Care".
