Mae Whitman is an American actress.

Biography[]

Born in Los Angeles, California, she made her acting debut as a child performing a voiceover for Tyson Chicken, and made her film debut in 1994's When a Man Loves a Woman. She would subsequently go on to appear in Independence Day and a number of television series including Arrested Development, Grey's Anatomy and Parenthood.

Whitman became most known as a voice actress, and would appear in such shows as American Dragon: Jake Long, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as well as the Tinkerbell series of films and Cynder in the video game The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night.

Singing[]

Whitman first appeared singing on the album School's Out! Christmas, on which she performed "You Make Christmas Feel So Good." She also sang in her voice role as Shanti in The Jungle Book 2.

Additionally, Whitman sang briefly in two of her live action television roles, as Ann in Arrested Development and Amber in Parenthood.
