Michael Keaton is an American actor.

Born Michael Douglas in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, he began his career on such public television shows as Mister Rogers' Neighbourhood and onstage before making his silent screen debut in Rabbit Test. Keaton would soon become a popular comedy performer in films including Night Shift and Beetlejuice before rocketing to fame as the title character in Batman and Batman Returns.

Keaton subsequently appeared in less commercially successful films, but he would gain popularity once again both as a voice actor (featuring in Cars and Toy Story 3) and as a serious performer, receiving an Academy Award nomination for his role in Birdman.

Keaton sang in two films, singing "Oh, Susanna" in the comedy Mr. Mom and performing two rock numbers with the Jack Frost Band in Jack Frost.
