Michael Sheen is a Welsh actor.

Biography[]

Born in Newport, Wales, Sheen attended the West Glamorgan Youth Theatre, the National Youth Theatre of Wales and later RADA. He made a strong early impression in such stage productions as When She Danced, Look Back in Anger and Amadeus, in which he played the lead role. He gained major recognition for his performance as Tony Blair in The Deal and its successors The Queen and The Special Relationship.

Sheen displayed his versatility in roles ranging from costume dramas (playing Robbie Ross in Wilde), blockbuster action films (Lucian in the Underworld series) and dramas such as Frost/Nixon and The Damned United.
