Orlando Bloom is an English actor.

Biography

Born in Canterbury, Kent, Bloom joined the National Youth Theatre and later the Guildhall School of Music and Drama before gaining his first on screen role in Wilde.

Bloom rose to prominence however thanks to his role in two movie series, The Lord of the Rings (and later The Hobbit) as Legolas and Pirates of the Caribbean, where he played Will Turner. He later appeared in a number of Hollywood blockbusters, frequently as the romantic hero.

In 2013, Bloom made his Broadway debut in Romeo and Juliet, for which he was highly rated.

Singing

Though Bloom has only had one singing role in his career, it was a prominent one, as "The Stain", the swaggering, self important rock star in Sympathy for Delicious.
