Patrick Godfrey is a British actor.

Biography[]

Patrick Godfrey was born in Finsbury Park, London and made his debut in 1972 in a film production of Miss Julie. He subsequently made numerous appearances in various high profile films such as Remains of the Day and The Count of Monte Cristo as well as television roles in Doctor Who and Inspector Morse among others.

On stage, he has also played Serebryakov in Uncle Vanya and the doddery Old Shepherd in A Winter's Tale among others.

Singing[]

In his wide spanning career, Godfrey has given several singing performances on-stage, in productions of The Pirates of Penzance, Camelot as Sir Dinaden in 1984 and later as Lancelot in 1986. He also appeared in 42nd Street as Pat Denning.

He also made an appearance as Monsieur Gillenormand in Les Misérables, a role that appeared in the original book but not the stage musical.
