Sanjeev Bhaskar is an English actor and comedian.

Biography[]

Born in Ealing, London, Bhaskar began as a marketing executive before beginning a comedic doubleact named The Secret Indians (non-Asian). Eventually, they were given a positive review in Time Out magazine, which ultimately led to the successful series Goodness Gracious Me.

This eventually led to several appearances in British produced films, but Bhaskar's greatest triumph was with the sitcom The Kumars at No. 42 in which he starred and conceived, and later married costar Meera Syal.

Singing[]

Bhaskar's varied careerinvolved some degree of singing, including performing several numbers on the soundtrack of Anita & Me, such as the Italian Eurovision solo "Volare", and a number of comic numbers in Goodness Gracious Me.

He also made his stage musical in 2008 playing King Arthur in the Monty Python musical Spamalot, which also caused him to have a cameo role in the premiere of Not the Messiah (He's a Very Naughty Boy) as a Mountie.
