Stephen Moyer is an English actor.
Biography[]
Born Stephen Emery in Brentwood, Essex, he studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts before he made his screen debut in the television productions Lord of Misrule and Prince Valiant respectively. He went on to appear in such films as Quills, Princess of Thieves and 88 Minutes.
Moyer had his first major success playing the male lead Bill Compton in the television series True Blood. He also appeared in such series as NY-LON, The Starter Wife and Ice and took a lead role in the superhero series The Gifted.
Singing[]
As well as briefly singing "Hard-Hearted Hannah (The Vamp of Savannah" in True Blood, Moyer also played the role of Billy Flynn in Chicago and Captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music Live! in 2013. He also performed "Town Called Malice" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
