Susan Browning was an American actress.

BiographyEdit

Born in Baldwin, New York, Browning studied at Penn State University and made her stage debut in 1964, gaining two Tony Award nominations for Company and Goodtime Charley respectively.

Browning also appeared on television a number of times, in Law and Order and The Wild Wild West among others, as well as playing a nun in both Sister Act films. She passed away in 2006.

SingingEdit

Browning had a long career in musical theatre, debuting in Jo, a musical adaptation of Little Women, but coming to public attention in her award nominated role as April in the original cast of Company.

Browning appeared in a number of original productions, most notably Goodtime Charley, for which she received a second Tony Award nomination, and Big River in 1985.
