Tony Shalhoub is an American actor.

Biography[]

Born Anthony Shalhoub in Green Bay, Wisconsin, he appeared with the American Repertory Theatre before making his Broadway debut in 1985's The Odd Couple. Some time after he appeared as Antonio Scarpaccio in Wings and a number of films including Barton Fink, Big Night and Galaxy Quest.

One of Shalhoub's best known roles was as the lawyer Adrian Monk in Monk. He also played Alexander Minion in the Spy Kids trilogy and provided the voice of Luigi in Cars and its sequels.

Singing[]

Shalhoub sang several times in Monk, namely singing "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain", "If Ever I Would Leave You" and "Silent Night." He also played Tewfiq in the original production of The Band's Visit.
