Verna Felton was an American actress.
Born in Salinas, California, Felton went into performing when, as a seven year old, she attracted the attention of a road show company manager whilst performing at a benefit for flood victims.
Felton summarily grew up in the theatre, but became better known for television and radio, appearing on The Jack Benny Program and The Abbott and Costello Show in regular roles and on the sitcom December Bride. She also played several roles for Walt Disney, including the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella and both Flora and Queen Leah in Sleeping Beauty. She made several live action film appearances too, notably Picnic in 1955.
Felton passed away in 1966.
Felton sang a number of times on film and television, frequently as part of her work for Disney, where she notably sang the song "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo" in Cinderella. She also sang when appearing on The Jack Benny Program, performing the classic duet "The Boys of the County Armagh".
